Privacy Policy

Wooden Labyrinth 3D ("the game") is created and owned by Elias Aalto ("I"). It is a tilt-controlled wooden maze game, available as a free, ad-supported version and a paid version. This Privacy Policy explains the limited, anonymous information collected when you play, why it is collected, and the choices you have. By using Wooden Labyrinth 3D you agree to this policy.
1. Short version
Wooden Labyrinth 3D collects anonymous gameplay statistics and crash reports via GameAnalytics so that I can fix bugs, balance the levels, and understand which features players enjoy. No personal information is collected, no advertising identifiers are used, no cross-app tracking happens, no profiles are built about you, and nothing is sold to anyone. The free version shows occasional "house ads" promoting my own games (there is no third-party ad network). An optional one-time in-app purchase and Apple Game Center are handled by Apple.
2. What is collected
The only analytics data leaving your device is what the GameAnalytics SDK sends. Specifically:
- Anonymous device ID. A randomly generated identifier created by GameAnalytics. It is not your Apple ID, not your IDFA, and is not tied to any personal information.
- Device & technical info. Device model, operating system version, app version, screen size, language, and approximate country (derived from IP and then discarded).
- Session info. When a play session starts and ends, and how long it lasted.
- Gameplay events. Progression through level packs, which levels you start and complete, your scores and times, and other in-game events I instrument for balancing (e.g. achievements unlocked).
- Crash & error reports. If the game crashes or hits an unexpected error, a technical stack trace and basic device state are sent so I can fix it.
Wooden Labyrinth 3D does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise GPS location, advertising identifiers, or any other personal information.
3. How the data is used
- To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
- To understand which levels players enjoy or get stuck on, so I can balance the difficulty.
- To see roughly how many people are playing and on which devices, to prioritize what to improve.
The data is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and never used to build a profile of you as an individual.
4. Third-party service: GameAnalytics
GameAnalytics (operated by GameAnalytics ApS, Copenhagen, Denmark) processes the data described above on my behalf in order to provide analytics dashboards and crash reports. Their processing is governed by the GameAnalytics Privacy Policy. It is the only third-party analytics or crash-reporting service used by the game.
5. Advertising (house ads)
The free version shows occasional full-screen "house ads" that promote my own apps. These are not served by any third-party ad network. The creatives are plain images and videos downloaded from my own server (hammer-golf.com); no advertising SDK is embedded, no advertising identifier (IDFA) is read, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown — because nothing about you is tracked for advertising. Tapping an ad simply opens the corresponding App Store page. The paid version shows no ads.
6. In-app purchases
Wooden Labyrinth 3D offers a one-time in-app purchase (to unlock all ball types and, in the free version, remove ads). Purchases and "Restore Purchases" are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. I never see or store your payment details; the game only receives Apple's confirmation that a purchase was made so it can unlock the content on your device.
7. Game Center
If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, the game can submit your scores to leaderboards and report achievements. Game Center is operated by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy; your Game Center identity is managed by Apple, not stored by me. You can turn Game Center off in iOS Settings, and the game still works fully without it.
8. App distribution
Wooden Labyrinth 3D is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple processes the download itself and any in-store interactions (search, ratings, install, purchases) according to Apple's Privacy Policy. I receive only aggregate, anonymized information from Apple (e.g. total downloads per country).
9. Children's privacy
Wooden Labyrinth 3D is suitable for all ages. Because no personal information is collected, the game does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). No advertising identifiers are used and no behavioural advertising occurs — the only ads are house ads for my own apps, with no targeting.
10. Data retention
Anonymous gameplay and crash data sent to GameAnalytics is retained according to their retention schedule (currently up to approximately 14 months), after which it is deleted or further aggregated.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to access, export, or request deletion of personal data held about you. Because the game only sends anonymous data tied to a randomly-generated device ID, I usually cannot link any specific record back to you as an individual. If you would still like to request deletion, email me at labyrinth@aalto.digital with the approximate dates you played and your device model, and I will work with GameAnalytics to remove what can be identified.
12. Opting out
The simplest way to opt out of all data collection is to uninstall the game. Reinstalling it will generate a new, unrelated anonymous device ID. Buying the paid version (or removing ads in the free version) stops all ads.
13. International data transfers
GameAnalytics may process data on servers located outside your country (including within the EU and the United States). Where required, transfers rely on the safeguards described in GameAnalytics' privacy policy.
14. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced in the game and on this website.
15. Contact
Questions or requests about this Privacy Policy can be sent to labyrinth@aalto.digital.
